Hey there, artist!
Imagine if you could take your ideas, sketch a few thumbnails, and take them all the way to a finished, beautiful, realistic painting.
In this course – an excerpt from the course Cinematic Design: From Idea To Finished Painting – you will learn exactly how.
Matte Painting is a method for creating photo-realistic artworks that, due to their realism, even function as believable backdrops for movies, games, and so on.
In this module, you will learn how to create stunning paintings that look extremely realistic, incorporate photos into your art and how to properly photo-manipulate to allow your ideas to come alive.
Trust me, I know what it’s like to be sitting in front of a blank canvas—with so many choices and overwhelming possibilities, and just not knowing where to begin, while you watch the clock slowly tick away and feel the anxiety build.
I know what it’s like to take weeks or even months to finish a single painting, while seeing others in the communities and industries churn out painting after painting.
With all of these methods and techniques I am offering to teach you, it is finally time to change that and let you know exactly what to do to finish those artworks—with beautiful results!
I will teach you how to create paintings like this:
(Actually this exact painting is what I’ll show you
how to make in the matte painting module).
When I was a beginner artist, I found it really hard to paint convincing artworks, and do it consistently. I just didn’t know exactly how to use the tools properly and what actually made things look real. There was just too many things to focus on, that I easily got lost in the jungle of details.
I’d spend hours just crafting an intro, and get lost trying to get the perfect details. While I had a lot of fun, it just took so much time for me to realize how to achieve these amazing results quick.
I’d waste hours upon hours refining every little detail of a small section of a painting, only to scrap it, let it sit on a hard drive for all eternity, and move on to something else.
Perhaps this is something you’ve struggled with too?
