Getting a rich, balanced, and monumental sounding arrangement can seem like a complete enigma. From the initial composition, the individual layers, the sound selection, voicing, separation, arrangement and production – there are so many aspects that need to fall into place.

Instead of making things even more confusing with tons of theory, I’ve decided to host a workshop that simplifies the act of crafting a huge and powerful arrangement in any style into a few simple steps.

In this workshop, I talked about 5 of the universal pillars that are essential to getting a big, balanced and powerful arrangement and production regardless of style, genre or format. We explored the underlying physics and principles that govern arrangement and orchestration, whether you are trying to make a wall of sound with a rock band, the orchestra, or electronic instruments. Arn Andersson – Course Instructor

Arn Andersson is a Norwegian musician, traveler and creative educator that aspires to empower creatives to produce better art, live better lives and make a living from their passion as the co-founder of Evenant.

He has worked remotely across nearly 30 countries on his nomadic workstation while providing music for various ad campaigns, video games, a Lionsgate film, and trailer campaigns like Lady and the Tramp, Lego Movie, Cold Pursuit, and Welcome To Marwen. He’s also been a collaborator on tracks for renowned artists such as The Metropole Orkest and Hardwell.

Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is for anybody who struggles with getting clean, balanced and powerful arrangements and mixes for their tracks, whether it is orchestral music, trailer music, electronic music, rock elements or anything in between. We’ll look at both composition, arrangement and production principles that allow us to avoid issues and consistently create powerful walls of sound in a wide range of styles and instrumentations without feeling overwhelmed.

How is this different from Arn’s Orchestration Workshop?

Arn’s previous orchestration workshop was purely focused on the fundamentals of getting a big sound for the orchestra. In this workshop, we’re going further and including principles for crafting powerful arrangements in other styles, incorporating synths, guitars and other instruments, and focusing equally on the production side of things. If you’ve already taken the Orchestration Workshop, you will understand some of the fundamental principles already and get much more out of this workshop.
