Orchestration Reloaded
Have you ever been staring at a piano sketch feeling stuck or overwhelmed when arranging it into an orchestral statement?
Maybe you find yourself doing the same predictable string arrangements over and over, and you listen to the great masters wishing you could replicate their intricate orchestral textures.
Strings are the bread and butter of orchestral writing, but with only 5 voices to write for – how do you get the most out of them, creating grandiose statements, flourishing textures and more?
“Orchestration Reloaded: Writing & Arranging For Strings” tackles these issues head on.
In this first course in the series, the talented Anže Rozman teaches his “MEHARYTE” method, with over 9 hours of content showing you a simple, step by step framework to turn your ideas into beautiful string passages of any complexity.
You will learn how to craft everything from lush chordal support, to moving harmonies, arpeggios and melodic fillers, rhyhtmic support and advanced interlocked textures, and much more. You will learn about the instruments, writing idiomatic lines, and making each instrument shine.
At the end, you’ll have an easy-to-follow framework and a solid understanding of the orchestral ensemble, rendering you able to craft any orchestration you can think of either in your DAW or with notation.

This course goes incredibly in depth on both the MeHaRyTe method and the string ensemble and its instruments, and focuses on helping you perfect your string writing first and foremost. The reason for this is that the string instruments are the core of the orchestra, the bread and butter of cinematic writing.
We want to help you get incredibly confident in your string writing, so that you choose to use brass and winds out of CHOICE, and not a necessity (because your chords sound thin in only strings, textures are bland etc).
That being said, there are over 2 hours of content in Module 4 that shows the basics of how to actually implement brass and woodwinds into your orchestrations. However, we are working on full courses that go just as in depth into brass and winds, as we have gone into strings in this course.
All students of this course will get a reasonable upgrade option to all future instalments.
