Meet Your Instructor
Arn Andersson is a Norwegian musician, traveler and creative educator that aspires to empower creatives to produce better art, live better lives and make a living from their passion as the co-founder of Evenant.
He has worked remotely across nearly 30 countries on his nomadic workstation while providing music for various ad campaigns, video games, a Lionsgate film, and trailer campaigns like Lady and the Tramp, Lego Movie, Cold Pursuit, and Welcome To Marwen. He’s also been a collaborator on tracks for renowned artists such as The Metropole Orkest and Hardwell.

As long as you’re confident in the basics of composing, arranging and recording tracks with virtual instruments in your DAW of choice, these puzzles will help you experiment with and refine several core aspects of the music process. From melody writing, chord writing, counter melodies and textures, as well as rhythm – you will be able to experiment with a range of examples that have varying difficulty and complexity.
This collection of puzzles is designed for orchestral composers who want to refine their skills in a practical and fun way, focusing on learning by doing instead of consuming vast amounts of musical theory. We have created a range of musical tracks and removed one key element, leaving the execution of that element up to the student. This allows you to play around with various ways of creating counter melodies for the same track, without having to make a full track or idea in order to practice this skill.
