Hey there, artist!

Have you ever felt stuck in your art journey, or like you’re not progressing at the rate you know you’re capable of?

… or maybe you get frustrated watching artists improve faster than you, and creating beautiful artworks almost effortlessly – leaving you wondering what you are missing.

… or perhaps you feel overwhelmed by everything you need to do, focusing on learning 10 subjects at the same time, mastering 20 tools, watching 100 tutorials and feeling like you’re constantly learning, but without seeing any significant massive progress in your artworks.

So let’s fix that.

My goal is teaching you the things that will really help you improve your art and be well on your way to realize your artist dreams.

I didn’t have anyone who gave me the proper guidance back when I started, so I feel very happy that I can share this stuff with you.

When starting out as an artist, there are so many things to learn, and it is easy to feel completely overwhelmed.

Well, that’s how I felt when I started out in the creative industries over 10 years ago.

walid_feghali_youtube_sverige

(That’s me sailing to an island to celebrate 100.000 subscribers on YouTube one fine summer in my home town of Gothenburg, Sweden!)

So what makes me different? Who am I to teach anything, right?

Well, I’ve been teaching a lot of different things throughout the years and I’ve been working in many different industries so I’ve picked up a lot of great insights, workflows and created my own techniques that are quite unique, especially when applied to digital art.

So let me introduce myself.

I’m Walid Feghali – designer and illustrator, composer, mechanical engineer, traveling creator, and co-founder of Evenant.

For the past few years I’ve been exploring the world, living the life of a nomadic creator, creating music and art for films and games and teaching others how to turn their passion into a living.

I have worked on many projects as a digital illustrator, creating concept art for games, such as Ubisoft’s STEEP and The Division, and other smaller indie games. I have also created concepts and storyboards for indie movies, and written symphonic orchestral scores for movies and trailers.

But my primary work in the digital art field has been illustrating environments, backgrounds, album cover artworks, logos, and so on. It has helped support me financially throughout my travels and endeavours as a freelancer.

However my career certainly didn’t start this way. Far from it, actually. I honestly had no clue what I was doing. The first few months and years were quite a struggle, and I did a lot of things right, but also a lot of things wrong…
It pretty much looked like this
  • I’d watch endless art tutorials, buying random courses, trying to figure out what’s going on when the cursor and brushes are flying around everywhere, learning photoshop…

  • I’d feel stuck and not knowing what to do to improve my artworks and make them look as professional as others, beating myself up for not being talented enough (haven’t we all…?)

  • I’d spend insane amounts of time on each painting, obsessing over every single detail, going back and forth in a hopeless search to make it “perfect”.

  • I’d look at amazing artworks out there hoping to crack what would give me “what I needed” to make my artworks look as good.

  • I was constantly comparing my artworks to other people’s work, beating myself up over the shortcomings and inadequacies of my art. (This is a bad idea…)

  • I was worried of what people would think of my artworks, to the point where I didn’t want to publish them online. (This is even worse…)

Here’s how things changed for me
  • I’ll be the first to tell you there is no magic pill or shortcut to transform your skills overnight, and I definitely wouldn’t listen to anyone who claims that, ever.

  • But you can change one thing overnight, and that is your mindset.

  • As I kept on creating artworks for years and years, slowly but surely improving, I noticed there were some things that worked so much better than others.

  • I took the knowledge I learned from composing music, from running a business, learning 6 languages, from finishing professional looking artworks in under an hour and put together all my own methods and techniques that I still use today to learn and create new things, including professional artworks.

  • I cracked the code of what is truly needed: simplicity.

I was able to create paintings like this in
under 1.5 hours, without any fuss!

(I’ll actually show you exactly how to create this painting in the narrated walkthrough that you get with this bundle… more on that in a bit)

CONCEPT ART ACCELERATOR

I realized there was nothing wrong with me, I didn’t lack talent, and other people didn’t have any magic key, or superpowers that I didn’t possess.

I was simply making a few big mistakes that had a detrimental impact on my progress – and lacked a few crucial mindsets that prohibited me from progressing fast enough. And I see countless others making these same mistakes too.

I approached art creation with too much complexity and focused on the wrong things.

When I realized these few things, man… did the quality of my work change!

As soon as I head out into the world, armed with this new and improved mindset and methods, I could flesh out a music album cover on a train ride in under 2 hours and make $500. I could have 10 ideas and know exactly how to go from sketch to finished painting each time.

And again, I am not pitching some “Become Awesome At Art In 24H!”, or some magic pill – I just want to show you a simple way to shift the way you see, because art is really all about learning to see. I want you to learn my methods and mindsets, take the tips and tricks I teach you and apply them all on your own journey.

It’s time you took matters into your own hands to take your art to the next level!

SO, HERE’S EXACTLY WHAT I MANAGED TO FIGURE OUT

  • I started identifying the first principles of art that would let me know exactly what to focus on to get really good results time and time again.

  • I simplified all the complex art fundamentals and learned that it doesn’t need to be all that complicated to create awesome art

  • I developed a method I call The S3 Method that allows me to take any idea and turn it into a finished painting in no time, with consistent results

  • I realized that 10,000 hours of practice is of little help unless put on the right things, at the right time, in the right order.

  • I learned what to truly focus my time on studying to elevate my art skills, and the skill of my students

“Amazing technical tips and demos”

“I loved Walid’s course and one of the most valuable aspects of it, aside from the amazing technical tips and demos, strategies and techniques, is just how accessible he makes the career path and improving in art. Rather than some daunting mountain, he shows us, just like with an art piece, how it can be broken up and surmounted. I will do more courses with him!”

The stories I get to hear makes all this worthwhile:

“Hello Walid,
I wanted to thank you for continuously giving such great opportunities for designers and creatives to expand their skills with your content, and to convey my gratitude and appreciation of your videos and instruction. My name is Jackson Wall and I am an Architect from the United States. I have been into art and design since I can remember but only got into digital painting and concept art very recently.

When I began to look into learning material I found Evenant. I think the very first video I watched was your rock painting tutorial and through your thorough instruction and encouraging motivation, I knew I wanted to learn more from you and your site.

I purchased the Concept Art Accelerator about two weeks ago and much like your other videos it helped me progress in ways I didn’t think it could. The material is extremely high quality and easy to follow and understand. I’d say most importantly, this course bundle is inspiring and every time I watch, it cultivates a desire to keep painting and keep creating.

I have already recommended this course and your other courses/videos to many artists/designers that I know. If someone wants to learn digital art, learn how to be a creator, and how to cultivate continually growing creativity, there is no place better than Evenant and the work of Walid.

Thank you for all that you do!

Jackson Wall

The stories I get to hear makes all this worthwhile:

““In the Concept Art Accelerator ebook and The S3 Method video course, Walid has managed to deliver some of the most vital components of a concept artist’s complete education in a simple, clear, and digestible format.

He has taken his own knowledge from many years of artistic development and firsthand experience in the concept art industry and boiled it down into a series of key concepts about how to improve your skills quickly and efficiently, and yet still enjoy the artistic process.

As a professional artist myself, I have found that these methods and fundamentals have not only clarified a variety of artistic principles, but have also provided me with a concrete way to improve my own workflow and creative habits.

If you are looking for a way to dramatically improve your art creation methods, practicing habits, a means of improving your understanding of fundamental creative concepts, and a concise, direct, and reliable path towards success as an artist in this field, I would highly recommend that you check this out!”
