Quickposes: Improving Your Figure Drawing

Drawing and sketching quick figures for concept art and personal artworks is a skill that requires quite a lot of practice to get to a level where the poses look and feel natural. Humans are always tricky to get right in any category of painting.

So here’s a quick tool I found that is fun and cool to hone your figure drawing skills. It will help you greatly in sketching quickly for your own character designs digitally, and just overall speed up your process. It works like this: images will pop up every pre-selected interval, and you have to draw the character(s) in the image.

What you do is choose one of the Challenges. Let’s say Warriors for example. Then you choose at what interval you want each Warriors image to change at, giving you a new image to draw. If you choose 30s then every 30s you will have a new image to draw!

It’s great fun, awesome practice and will skyrocket your figure drawing skills. Do it with paper and graphite pen or ink. Fill up a notebook with this stuff – that’s how you progress!
